What time do the doors open?
We open the doors a full 45 minutes before showtime; enough time to grab a drink, find a seat, and get ready to laugh. It’s also enough time to meet the people who’ll be laughing next to you. Or, if you’re early enough, to choose who’ll be laughing next to you.
Will I really be back home before nine?
Absolutely. We pride ourselves on starting and ending on time, so you can laugh hard and still get your beauty sleep. We’ll wrap up the show early enough to leave you a solid hour for late-night snacks and that winding-down episode of whatever you’re watching.
Do I need to bring a printed ticket?
Printed tickets, digital tickets; just show it to us at the door, and you’re golden.
Is there a bar?
Oh, yes. Our venues are well-stocked with your favourite drinks, so you can toast each punchline. We recommend a warm-up drink before the show and a celebratory drink after the big laughs. Just remember—while we want you to have a good time, please laugh responsibly!
What’s the seating like?
Our venues offer cozy, comfortable seating with a clear view of the stage. We’re all about quality surroundings (no balancing on a bar stool or craning around a pillar).
Can I come alone?
Of course! Comedy loves company, but it’s also the perfect night out for the solo adventurer. You’ll be among friendly faces and fellow laughers, so just bring your sense of humour and an open mind.
Is there an age restriction?
Yes, Back Before Nine Comedy Nights are for those 18 and over. We love future comedy fans, but some jokes are a little too spicy for the underage crowd.
What if I don’t find it funny?
Comedy is a little like marmite—not everyone’s taste is the same. But rest assured, we’ve curated some of the best acts on the circuit to make you laugh until it hurts. If you don’t find anything funny, well…you may just be having a long day, and we still love you.
What should I do if I can’t make it?
Gutted! If you can’t make it, feel free to pass your ticket to a friend, family member, or anyone who needs a laugh. Just let us know who’ll be taking your place, and we’ll welcome them warmly!
Can I take photos or record the show?
We kindly ask that you leave your camera in your pocket and your phone on silent. Our comedians work hard on their jokes, so let’s keep the punchlines a live-only experience. However, feel free to take photos before and after to prove you got out for a night of comedy!
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you comfortable! Smart casual is always a safe bet, but if your idea of relaxation is a onesie, we won’t judge (though we might make a joke or two).
